I am sure that the bad economy has made these scams more appealing to even more people/cons. People get desperate during the holidays trying to not let loved ones down. Holidays do not have to be desperate times. Most of the time the best gift you can give to anyone is your time and love. My wish this Holiday season is for everyone to live within THEIR means. There are tons of holiday scams out there. I gave money to a holiday charity that was later on the news as a scam. I was so pissed.

I had my car broken into once for a 30 pack of beer left in my back seat. Tis the season for desperation and that 12 pack of Miller set me back the cost of a window replacement.

Poor lil’ Ipodless Johnny. It’s a shame that people take advantage of the holiday season in such a selfish manner, when the whole point is to give or share. This article is so true! I was one of the crazy people out on black friday and Walmart over charged me $11 so I took it up with the floor manager and it was resolved. If i didn’t check my receipt I would of been out of that cash.

Great article! When people are on holiday “spending sprees” it can be easy to drop your guard and fall for some of these cons.
